Despite it's name you don't need to be an idiot to lose weight with Fat Loss 4 Idiots.
In fact, the approach used in this program is actually a bit more complicated than in the others we reviewed.
Fat Loss 4 Idiots (FL4I) advocates something they call "calorie shifting" which means that you will have days with high calories and days with lower calories.
The idea is that by eating more calories on some days and less on the others you keep your metabolism elevated while avoiding the consistent hunger and cravings of other diet plans.
The increased metabolism is nice for it's fat burning effects, but the real benefit is that the high calorie days make it easier to stay on the plan. Weight loss doesn't happen overnight with any program, so having something you can follow for the long-haul is key.
While the long-term results are nice, we all want quick weight loss as well. To meet this goal FL4I uses an 11-day cycle. You plan out your diet for 11 days and then measure your results at that point. It is definitely doable to lose anywhere from 3-6 pounds on each 11-day cycle.
Having short-term success like this keeps you motivated to continue and each 11-day cycle will put you that much closer to your long-term weight loss goal.
The only downside to this program is that it takes some time to count your calories. But if you are serious about losing weight this is a small price to pay.
Another great thing about FL4I is that it doesn't require a lot of intense exercise like some of the other programs we reviewed. It is suggested that you do some moderate cardio exercise a few days a week, but even that is not a requirement for this program. This is huge benefit for those of us who don't have time to workout, or just don't like to.
Conclusion:Very motivating and effective program. Does not require any exercise. Our top recommendation.
