The Fat Loss System was created by Doctor Charles Livingston, a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician, Wellness Practitioner and Advanced Nutritionist.

His weight loss system is not revolutionary or ground-breaking; in fact, in the video on his website, The Fat Loss Factor, he states that these ideas have been around since the 1950’s. The purpose of his weight loss system is to change current thinking on dieting and weight loss (the pills and elixirs, the fancy “diet foods” sold by big companies), and instead concentrate on first cleansing your liver. It is the contention of Doctor Charles that toxins are responsible for the accumulation of fat that causes “pot bellies” and “love handles” in so many people. He states that you can and will see dramatic weight loss, up to 1-2 inches from your belly in as little as a week.

By diligently following his plan of cleansing the liver, then following a healthy diet, you will minimize the buildup of fat-producing toxins that prevent you from losing weight. He also claims that you don’t have to give up your favorite “bad” foods in order for his weight loss system to work.

Doctor Charles markets his for fat loss as a 12 week program. No matter which program you choose, he says you will see results. In your first weeks you will concentrate on eating healthy organic foods that are designed to reduce the toxins you are taking in, which in turn reduces the toxins in your system, helping your liver to detoxify. After the first two weeks, you are then instructed on how to shop and what to shop for in order to keep your metabolic rate up, in turn, burning fat. Doctor Charles even goes as far as supplying you with a pre-created shopping list. You are also given exercises to help you along with your weight loss goals. 2. Fat Burning Furnace

Fat Burning Furnace works for men or women at any age, but it is targeted more towards the novice exerciser.

The diet information is basic, but solid. If you follow the diet along with the exercise recommendations you should see some good results.

The only downside is that the exercise it requires is pretty intense. On the website you will see that they advertise the program as the "15 minute miracle." This refers to their short (15 minutes or less), but intense exercise sessions.

For those with limited time these short sessions are great way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine, but most beginners will find these sessions very difficult to get through, even if they are only 15 minutes.

While the results are similar to our top pick, the intense exercise makes the program more difficult to stick to.

Conclusion:Good results, but the exercise portion is very intense. If you don't mind challenging workouts then this may be the program for you.

3. Every Other Day Diet

The Every Other Day Diet is a program created by trainer Jon Benson which claims to allow you to eat junk foods like pizza, ice cream, and chocolate while still losing weight.

This is done by showing you when and how to eat bad foods so they don't hurt your progress. In fact, eating bad foods can actually help to elevate your metabolism and help you stick to the diet.

Unfortunately, eating bad foods also tends to be a trap for many people who struggle to lose weight. If you are an emotional eater then it can be very difficult to control yourself and only eat small portions of bad foods (chocolate anyone?) as this plan requires.

If you are looking for a slightly more laid-back diet and you don't have trouble controlling yourself around bad foods then this may be ticket for you.

Conclusion:Easy to follow plan, but the results are slower than with our top 2 picks. Not a good plan for emotional eaters.
